Surrender

Surrender was part of a larger project commissioned by Revista CUTRA , which brought together theoretical concepts used in the feminist environment with a series of written investigations and artistic explorations on them. The video consists of a series of short renderings linked together to create one long piece. The protagonist becomes entangled in a complex web of digital, corporeal, and ancestral memories, all while confronting the uncertainties surrounding the reality of the Internet. The chimeras stand for cyberviolence, they depend on external validation and only spread the hurt and increase collective suffering. It shows a modern life immersed in a dark simulated reality compared to the medieval agony, which mostly comes from our attachments to our finite identities, material gains and social expectations.
