Row
Holographic audiovisual installation.
“ROW” is an audiovisual installation that explores relationships between sound, image and space.
The installation is composed of ten LED holographic displays lined in a row, one behind the other, creating a three-dimensional image that visually displays variations of sound. Holographic image depth extension highlights the spatial characteristics of the installation space creating a volume for sound and light sculpture.
The installation titled “ROW” stands for “row” as a basic way to structure data, from mathematics to the twelve notes of the chromatic scale in music. It interprets the idea of rows of data floating in the air every second, being converted into messages and music. Bits of information become symbols that can be combined in words, words add up to sentences, and sentences translate our ideas, thoughts and feelings. The installation is about the perception of information, language, and dialogue.
