Music for film and documentary
The music score and sound in general play a crucial role in completing a scene and represent a highly creative process for composers. Selecting music for a film that the composer is called upon to score is not an easy process. Since music/sound is capable of both enhancing and destroying a film, it requires a very delicate handling of sounds from the composer’s side. The seminar is aimed at viewers who love watching movies and value music, professional musicians who are already or want to become composers, and directors. Through the screening of films, documentaries, and animations, the artist will analyze scene by scene how she was inspired and composed the music. She will demonstrate how we can approach a film musically, understanding the messages conveyed through the music, as well as how to harmoniously connect music with sound design.
