schubert-stegemann, Mirella Drosten

schubert-stegemann: schubert-stegemann are Nicola Schubert and Karoline Stegemann. The collective works at the interface of text, performance and directing. They have been working in the independent performing arts since 2020. Based on socio-political and cultural-historical discourses, schubert-stegemann search for performative and cinematic translations. One focus is on urban space and site-specific performances. They recently presented audio performances in Cologne, Dortmund and Munich. They have been collaborating with filmmaker Mirella Drosten since 2022.

Mirella Drosten: As a cinematographer, editor and director, Mirella explores the field of experimental film to express her critical view of things. Since 2018, she has been studying Film & Sound at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund. Alongside her studies, she is building her business as an independent filmmaker. After graduating with a BA in Communications Management in 2016, she gained her first experience in the production of various television formats in Cologne.
