Arta Raituma, Prem Jyothis

Arta Raituma (1996) is a visual artist from Latvia currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. In her practice she is focusing on the exploration of the sublime in nature and liminal states, creative placemaking through rites of passage and engaging with communities as well as investigating relationships between natural and urban environments. The artist has had 6 solo shows, has participated in more than 30 group shows, she is the founder of a contemporary art gallery ‘Riga’s Highest Gallery’ in Latvia.

Prem Jyothis (1995) is a cinematographer and filmmaker based in India, Portugal, and Estonia. He is deeply passionate about visual storytelling within the infinite territory of human experiences. He is curious about the various dramaturgy tools to create immersive depictions of subjective perspectives in Cinema and visual art. His master’s thesis – ‘Implications of Cinematography in Tondoscope’ was published in the Cinematography in Progress section of IMAGO magazine 2023.
