My Friend Kym

Karoline Georges is an interdisciplinary artist whose artistic process merges video, audio art, photography, literature, AI, and 3D modeling. Her approach is centered around a polymorphic quest for the sublime, including physical, spiritual, and aesthetic sublimation, as well as the transformation of body image in virtual spaces. Inspired by evolutionary and transhumanist theories, her works feature creatures of science, computer consciousnesses, digital avatars, clones, and androids seeking transcendent experiences. Her works have been included in numerous collections and showcased worldwide. She has authored eight books, notably “De synthèse,” a sci-fi novel translated into several languages and winner of multiple awards, including Canada’s most prestigious literary honor, the Governor General’s Literary Award, in 2018. Furthermore, she has garnered numerous awards, such as the FutureFest Art Prize, the CALQ Prize for Artistic Creation, and the CALQ – Artist of the Year in Montérégie.
