Anatol Chechik

Corresponding member Russian Academy of Arts. Born in 1953 in Kiev , Ukraine. In 1976 graduated from Kiev State Institute of Fine Arts, (National Academy of Arts now) department of architecture. Worked at Kievproekt institute. Author of several realized architectural designs. His designs were awarded with first and third prizes at the competition for the reconstruction of Bessarabia Place in Kiev . Since his theatre debut in 1978 has worked as stage designer in many theatres of Ukraine . In 1983 was appointed chief designer of Kiev Puppet Theatre. In 1984 had his debut as stage designer and director at Ivan Franko Academic Theatre, Kiev . In 1988 moved to Tbilisi , Georgia . Until 1991 worked at the Studio of Experimental Graphic Arts, Tbilisi House of Artists. In 1992 moved to Moscow . Member of the Moscow Artists Union since 1996. 2007-2009 was appointed supervisor of course at the department of stage design of Russian Academy of Theatre Art (GITIS). 2013 founded Flashtheatre.
