Katia Kolovea

Katia Kolovea is an award-winning lighting designer, communication strategist, and advocate of the lighting design profession. She is the founder of the design agency Archifos, based in London. Her international work combines architectural lighting with Immersive lighting experiences, ephemeral lighting installations for product launches and private parties, as well as engaging marketing communications, curated events, and lighting experiences, collaborating with the best designers and brands to share their stories in an innovative and impactful way. She is involved in various community-based and educational projects in the lighting industry, like Women in Lighting, Silhouette Awards, VLD.Community and the Lighting Police. She is a Judge of the LIT design awards, and an elected council member of the Society of Light and Lighting. Katia loves raising light awareness among the general public and hosting creative educational workshops and talks. Various worldwide organizations and universities have invited her to talk about light, communication, community, light art, mentorship, and inspiration, amongst others.
