Tactical Tech / Homo Digitalis

Tactical Tech is a Berlin-based, international NGO that explores and mitigates the impact of digital technologies on society. Their mission is to give people the resources they need to make sustainable change in their digital lives, encouraging online privacy, autonomy, and a creative use of technology. Tactical Tech launched The Glass Room project in 2016 to address a growing public awareness around data and privacy, subsequently reaching over 352,000 people in 61 countries and generating a global conversation about the impact of big data.

The Glass Room is presented in Greece by Homo Digitalis. Established in 2018 as a purpose-driven nonprofit organization, Homo Digitalis fights to ensure people’s rights and freedoms in the digital realm, safeguarding privacy, data protection, freedom of expression and information, property, judicial recourse, and the prohibition of discrimination. They educate legislators on digital human rights issues and raise public awareness through campaigns, actions, and informative materials. With over 100 members, Homo Digitalis continues to grow, advocating for a safer, fairer digital landscape.
