Artemis Sartzetakis

Artemis Sartzetakis (born 1999) is an Athens-based multidisciplinary artist working predominantly with performance, costume design, 3d renders and VR game design. They create work inspired by the complex and often co-emergent relationships that determine the natural world. Due to their father’s profession as an environmental economist, Artemis was raised to be highly aware of the climate crisis. This preoccupation with the reality of the degradation (deterioration?) of the natural world manifests in a deep appreciation of the micro and macro concordant behaviors in nature. The artist references such relationships through their sculptural work, human plant hybrid performances and virtual installations.
